What Is DAP & Co.?
DAP & Co. Hospitality Group was founded in 2011, when Andrew Baturo, Denis Sheahan and Paul Piticco opened Popolo in Brisbane’s iconic River Quay precinct at South Bank. Following its success, the trio went on to open the award-winning The Gresham Bar in Brisbane’s CBD in 2013. In late 2017, they secured the ground-floor tenancy of Old Mineral House, restoring its interiors to complement the building’s striking heritage façade and introducing a touch of New York charm to downtown Brisbane with Walter’s Steakhouse and Wine Bar.
Collectively, DAP & Co. has developed a strong understanding of the importance of matching each concept to its location. Many of the group’s projects have involved the careful restoration and activation of heritage-listed buildings, including The Petrie Terrace Barracks, The Queensland National Bank Building, Old Mineral House and Naldham House. The team is highly experienced in managing the elevated requirements of heritage refurbishments, delivering outcomes that respect and enhance each building’s original aesthetic and architecture.
With a holistic approach to restaurant and bar development, DAP & Co. takes a collective vision and adapts it thoughtfully to suit each unique context. The group has a proven ability to work efficiently within major Brisbane precincts, including South Bank Corporation, The Barracks and Waterfront Brisbane.
DAP & Co. is proud to be a member of the Brisbane Economic Development Agency and to contribute to the evolving legacy of Brisbane as the city looks ahead to the 2032 Olympic Games.
The group’s latest project, Naldham House — home to The Brasserie & Terrace, Club Felix and The Fifty Six — is now open, bringing new life to one of Brisbane CBD’s most significant heritage and garden precincts.
At its heart, DAP & Co. is driven by a commitment to old-fashioned hospitality, impeccable food and a dynamic, professional team culture.
